Zidane Has No Plans To Sell Alvaro Morata – Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has revealed he has no plans to sell striker Alvaro Morata.
Morata had left Real Madrid for 2014 due to a scarcity of first team chances, and saw his stock rise during his time in Turin. This forced Madrid to activate a buy-back clause in the contract, and Zidane is adamant he’s staying this time.
“Morata is a Madrid player,” Zidane told reporters. ‘We are delighted to have him back, back to his original home. He will remain a Madrid player.”
There had been speculation that Real Madrid only wanted to purchase Morata so they could re-sell him, with Chelsea reportedly interested in the hitman. Zidane however added that Morata’s teammate, Jese, could be out of the club soon.
“Jese has had discussions within the club. I don’t really know more than that but that’s why he didn’t play,” Zidane said after Madrid’s 3-2 win over Chelsea. “He has been speaking with PSG but is nothing official yet.”
