50Cent toys with the idea of hosting popular automobile show, Top Gear, but it’d cost BBC a lot of money as Fiddy intends to be “well paid” before signing any contract. Love money much.
The 21 Questions rapper said during an interview with Daily Beast, “I would love to work on Top Gear, I could save that show for sure … but it would cost them!.”
“There ain’t a car I haven’t owned over the years. My car collection is as good as anybody’s.”
Top Gear was originally hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond until they were sacked last year and Chris Evans was given the job.
Evans hasn’t done justice with the show as its ratings plummeted after he took over.
41-year-old 50cent stated, “Top Gear was one of the world’s iconic shows and it’s a shame it came to this. The show since the old team left has been unrecognizable and if it don’t get back to where it should be soon then it may never recover.
“It’s a show you know you can watch in any country you are in. They got to get it right again for all the fans.”
Yes they do have to get it right. Which is the reason Chris Evans quit last month before the show’s producers could fire him after his last episode pulled in the lowest ratings in the show’s history.
Evans had signed a three-year-contract with the car-programme in December last year and so much was expected of him but he didn’t meet up to expectation as he gave Top Gear its lowest viewing figures since 2002.
No co-host has been announced yet, though Matt LeBlanc has been speculated to be the next to fill in Chris Evans’s shoes.
Or maybe Fiddy will fill them. Yes? No?
