Varane Rejects Manchester United Transfer Offer

Real Madrid centre-back Raphael Varane has rejected the chance to join Man Utd next season, according to reports in Marca.

The Spanish spots daily claims Real boss Zinedine Zidane was the main reason the player opted to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, rather than teaming up again with new United manager Jose Mourinho, who he previously played for in the Spanish capital

It is understood that Real Madrid manager  Zinedine Zidane rates him extremely highly but the defender found himself as third choice centre-back last term, behind Pepe and captain Sergio Ramos.

Injury, which ruled him out of Euro 2016 in his homeland this summer, has hampered Varane’s progress, while three Premier League clubs, including United, have made moves for him.

Some of the offers, up to €40 million, have proven tempting, but Varane has stayed firm and will remain at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for at least one more year.
