#TheVoiceNigeria Episode 16: Show Enters The Semi-finals

The fifth live show of #TheVoiceNigeria moves us closer to the grand finale of the show even as four more contestants took a bow from the show. The exit of these contestants means that only eight contestants are left in the running for top spot on the show with only one live show left to go.

The performances of the night kicked off with DNA from #TeamPatoranking. The twins gave a wonderful performance of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” to the delight of the audience and their coach who decided to save them. This was followed by Michael from #TeamWaje who performed Waje’s song “Jollof Rice”. His performance was good enough to earn him a safe spot in the finals from his coach to the delight of the audience.

The next performance of the night was from #Team2baba’s David Operah who gave a good account of himself as he sang R. Kelly’s classic song “I Believe I Can Fly” with his own flavour. His performance also earned him a safe spot in the finals from 2baba. #TeamTimi had Vicky performing Aerosmith which was enough to to impress her coach.


Other performances of the night included Nonso from #TeamPatoranking who sang “Simply The Best” by Tina Turner. Chike also sang “Pull Over” by Wizkid and Kcee. A’rese from #TeamWaje sang “Trouble Sleep Yanga Wake Am” by Fela Anikulapo Kuti while Patrick sang “Osinachi” by Humblesmith featuring Davido.

#TeamTimi also had Cornel performing “Oyi Na Tum” by Flavour, just as Dewe’ did “Could You Be Loved” by Bob Marley. Other performances on the night from #Team2baba were from Brenda who sang “I Wish” by Waje and Viveeyan who chose to sing “Sweet Dreams” by Beyoncé.
