Snoop Dogg will be headlining the “unity party” for Democratic National Convention’s donors in Philadelphia on July 28.
The event which will be held at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory announced on Tuesday, (July 5) in a press release to Billboard that the rap veteran would perform alongside Grammy Award-winning rock band Los Lobos.
Snoop seems to have an interest in politics as he inked his support for Hillary Clinton a month after she announced her decision to compete for the office of the president of the United States.
The rap artiste also claimed to have voted for President Barack Obama in 2012 though he initially endorsed Libertarian Republican, Ron Paul during the Republican presidential primary, because the Texas congressman showed support for legalizing marijuana.
“You know I like to be politically correct, but sometimes I’m politically incorrect,” Snoop said on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live in May 2015. But I’ll say that I would love to see a woman in office because I feel like we’re at that stage in life to where we need a perspective other than the male’s train of thought.”
The marijuana activist added, “And just to have a woman speaking from a global perspective as far as representing America, I’d love to see that. So I’ll be voting for Ms. Clinton.”
