Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he is eager to renew his contract at Real Madrid. The forward is looking to open contract renewal talks when he gets back to the club.
The Portuguese international has a contract that’ll expire in 2018. And the star forward is ready to commit his long-term future to the club.
“I spoke to the president [Florentino Perez] on the phone and when I get back to Madrid, we’ll talk [over a new deal],” the 31-year-old was quoted as saying by AS.
“Obviously it’s something I want.”
Ronaldo scored 51 goals at club level in the 2015-16 season, and also netted three goals at the European Championships.
And the former Manchester United star claims that this season has been the best of his career thus far.
“This season has been the best of my career,” he added. “I won two major titles, with my club and country, so it was something unique.
“It was a very emotional moment to win the Undecima. Winning the trophy is incredible, every time I look at it I see the memories of when I won it for the first time with Manchester United as well as my triumphs with Madrid.”
