Nigerian Man Sentenced To 2 Years For Beating Girlfriend – A Nigerian man living in Cambodia has been handed a two-year jail term for beating his girlfriend.
34-year old Kingley Nshiodo was said to have beaten his girlfriend for denying him sex, and threatening to stab her.
Judge Yen Saroeun added that Nshiodo would only serve half of his sentence behind bars, but he also had to pay a fine of about $1,000. “The court convicted him to two years, but the term of his punishment is reduced to a year. The rest of his sentence was suspended,” he said. “The court fines him 4 million riel [about $1,000] to put toward the state budget.”
Nshiodo was arrested after beating 19-year old girlfriend Chan Sreyneang, who called police narrating how he beat her after he refused to have sex with him.
