Leslie Jones, one of the characters of the new Ghostbusters all-female cast movie was ridiculed by trolls on Twitter and judging by the tweets, even I fear for humanity.

The only thing 48-year-old Leslie wanted was to do what she loves and become a part of something which she found in making the Ghostbusters movie, alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth.

The movie which many have called sexist, is presently one of Youtube’s one-hundred most disliked videos.

Twitter trolls have been writing some very unkind, unfair and really demeaning words to Jones, it’s a shock to know there are people who exist just to hate.

All they do is sleep, wake up and hate.

Leslie Jones tweeted,  “You know I’m gonna stop blocking so y’all can go through my feed yourself and see the bs. You won’t believe the evil. It’s f–king scary.”

She wrote, “I have been called Apes, sent pics of their asses, even got a pic with semen on my face.”

She has also received racist poems, with one user telling her she looks like an “orangutan.”

One user tweeted, “SHE HAS NO STYLE SHE HAS NO GRACE THIS LESLIE (KONG) HAS A FUNNY FACE,” while another wrote, “I hate liars, there is no way to justify calling her beautiful. She’s extremely ugly.”

And another, “Can we exchange you for Harambe? I prefer that gorilla over you.”

Leslie Jones said, “I use to wonder why some celebs don’t have Twitter accounts now I know. You can’t be nice and communicate with fans cause people crazy.”

Stars like Reese Witherspoon, Sex and the City actress, Kristin Davis and Ghostbusters producer Paul Feig rallied to support Jones with the hashtag #LoveForLeslieJ.

Reese Witherspoon tweeted, “MondayMuse – Loved every minute of this movie!! These women are my kind of heroes ? #Smart #Funny @Ghostbusters.”

Just as the Ghostbusters producer Paul Feig stated, “Leslie Jones is one of the greatest people I know. Any personal attacks against her are attacks against us all. #LoveForLeslieJ

Although she had never met Jones, Kristin Davis wrote, “I don’t know @Lesdoggg ,but I admire her incredible spirit +talent. We have to stand together ❤️ #LoveForLeslieJ”.

Why anyone would call use the term “ugly” to describe a human being still muddles my mind.

Anyone who sits down and writes vitriol such as on Leslie’s feed must be extremely disappointed with their life. And I mean “extremely”. You hate your life so you vent on others.

No one with a good life will write such nasty and spiteful words.
