Frank Edwards is a year older today and we wish him a happy birthday by going through a timeline of his life for the past twenty-five years.
Born into a family of five siblings on July 22, 1990, Frank Ugochukwu Edwards is a Nigerian contemporary Christian singer-songwriter and recording artist from Enugu, Enugu State.
Edwards who is the founder and owner of the record label Rocktown Records through which he released six albums began singing at the age of ten. His father taught him to play the piano at a young age.
Frank Edwards released his debut album The Definition in 2008, it contained 14-tracks.
In 2010 he released his second album, Angels On The Runway. His third album Unlimited was released in 2011 and Tagjam, was also released in November 2011.
Currently known as Nigeria’s Hottest Gospel rock artiste Edwards was awarded the best Gospel Rock artiste in the first annual awards of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards, NEA.
In 2012 he won West Africa’s best male vocalist while grabbing three awards ie male artiste of the year, song of the year and best male vocal, at the Nigerian Gospel Music Awards.
Edwards is a producer, a keyboardist, and also plays several musical instruments. He’s a member of the Presidential band of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome in Christ Embassy Church.
His latest work, Frankincense features Micah Stampley and Nathaniel Bassey.
The album reportedly topped Beyonce’s and Adele’s albums within few hours of release on Itunes album chart.
