Jidenna Brings Some Dancehall Flavor Titled ‘Little Bit More’, “Little Bit More” is the latest from Jidenna’s upcoming Wondaland/Epic Records debut Long Live the Chief.
Jidenna burst onto the scene in 2015 with a smash hit, “Classic Man,” and a fun close-out performance on Janelle Monae‘s “Yoga, which experienced considerable chart success itself.
Both of those performances were showcased on the compilation EP for Monae’s Wondaland collective, The Euphus EP, but it served as just an appetizer for Jidenna fans, who craved more of the traveled singer and songwriter’s vast talents.
After claiming his rightful place in the music industry with self-assured single “Chief Don’t Run,” which dropped last month, the Igbo Nigerian-American artist has infused the quintessential Afro-beats sound into this dance-able joint.
The upbeat track boasts tribal drums, cracking snares and a groove that should put you in an island vibe. On the song, Jidenna is serenading a woman on the dance floor and is tempting her to come join him back at his shrine.
Quotable Nigerian Lyrics “WAHALA she no dey give me. I don want you plenti plenti”.
