In the face of the suspension of its Twitter account, infamous militant group in Niger Delta, Avengers, on Monday night continued with its resumed hostilities by blowing up two trunk lines belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), in Batan Community, Warri South West Council Area of the State.
The group, which has continued to indicate that its appetite for unsavoury sabotage holds no bound, also attacked two other manifolds operated by the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) in the area, even as an oil well operated by Chevron Nigeria Limited at Makaraba village of Gbaramatu Kingdom was attacked last night.
A press statement issued by its spokesman, Mudoch Agbinibo, as regards to the several bombings, read:
“At 10pm Niger Delta Avengers blew up Chevron Well 10 close to Otunana flow station.”
“Other attacks were carried out at 11:15pm. Niger delta Avengers blow up NPDC Manifold close to Banta and two PPMC/NNPC crude oil trunk Lines.”
Until Monday when the social network outfit, Twitter, suspended their account, avengers was well known for announcing such attacks on the platform owned by the micro blogging firm.
The militant group resumed hostilities after a two-week ceasefire, which led to an increase in oil production.
Between Friday and Sunday, they damaged five oil pipelines in Delta state.
