Atletico Madrid have not give up on signing Chelsea striker Diego Costa this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The report suggests Atletico think the 27-year-old would be open to joining Diego Simeone’s side side but he will not force a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Atletico still have AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca on their radar but he is thought to be very much a second option with a move for Costa the priority.
Atletico know that new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte remains desperate to land Costa’s fellow Spain frontman Alvaro Morata from neighbours Real Madrid.
They are therefore prepared to bide their time with over a month to go until the summer transfer window closes, in the belief that the West Londoners will be more open to selling Costa if they land Juventus old boy Morata.
