Season 7 Of 'Game Of Thrones' May Be Delayed

The season six of #GameOfThrones has come and gone and it threw up a number of answers to questions that have been asked from season one to the present. These included how the White Walkers came to be and who Jon Snow’s mother really is. The pieces of the show are finally coming together and irrespective of who your favourite character on the show is, you can’t wait to see how the show ends. There are however a number of questions season six has thrown up and we cant wait to find out what the answers to those questions will be.

Is Anyone Prepared For The White Walkers?

white walkers
“Winter is Coming!” has been said from season one till now and it seems none of the leaders of the seven kingdoms is prepared for the Night King and his horde of minions. From what has been said, winter will be long and dark especially giving the coming of the white walkers. It’s likely to be more brutal for the seven kingdoms than they envisage.

Where’s Arya’s Next Stop?

Arya finally got the second person off her list (or is it the third?) by killing Walder Frey and getting revenge for the Red Wedding. Ser Gregor Clegane is back to life and she may have to see to his end again not to talk of The Mountain, Beric, Thoros of Myr, Melisandre, and Queen Cersei Lannister that are still on her list. Luckily enough, 3 people on her list are travelling together headed North and it won’t be surprising if Arya catches up with the Brotherhood Without Banners in season 7. Melisandre is also headed south and Arya may just spare her life in exchange for information about Sansa, Jon Snow and the undead.

What Is Bran’s Purpose?

This is one question a lot of people including myself are asking. Bran has basically messed things up but without him, we probably wouldn’t have known that Jon is the son of Rhaeger Targaryen and Lyanna Stark. However, with Bran’s instability, he will most likely bring down the wall which will allow the white walkers into the Seven kingdoms. He most likely will return to Winterfell to reunite with Jon and Sansa as someone needs to tell Jon that he’s the son of Lyanna Stark and a Targaryen — and Bran’s the only one who can. Furthermore, there’s a heart tree in Winterfell which is the only way through which Bran can have his visions. That makes home his most likely destination after castle black.

Is Sansa Annoyed With Jon?

One conflict that will most likely erupt in season 7 is that of Sansa and Jon. She deserved credit for Jon’s win against Ramsay Bolton which Jon doesn’t seem to be giving her at the moment. More so, with Littlefinger already sowing seeds of discord in Sansa’s ears, it is left to be seen how she reacts to the situation. And last we forget that Jon is the son of Lyanna Stark which even makes his claim as King of the North more weaker than it already is.

Will Cersei Be Killed By Jaimie?

Quite a number of people can’t wait to see the end of Cersei but very few have dated to ask if her death will come from her favourite brother’s hands. The chances of this are high given the prophecy of Maggy the Frog. She said “Queen you shall be … until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take what you hold dear.” She went on to say “When your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you. ” The Valonqar Maggy made reference to is a High Valyrian word for “little brother.” As we know, both Jaime and Tyrion are technically Cersei’s little brothers. Even though she has lived her life thinking Tyrion would be the one to kill her, it’s most likely looking as if the honour will fall to Jaime Lannister.

Has Littlefinger Poisoned Sansa’s Mind Against Jon?

There are very few things Littlefinger hasn’t corrupted. He is all and only for himself and will do anything to sit on the Iron Throne. Being a man of low birth, he thinks a marriage to Sansa Stark will be a good way for him to acquire the power he so desires. But is he willing to betray all of the Starks, especially Sansa, to do it? That is most likely possible given the fact that he was the one that spearheaded Ned Stark’s death in Season one.

Will Daenerys Marry Jon Snow?

The Targaryens were known for keeping their bloodlines pure through inbreeding but this unfortunately brought severe consequences such as madness. With Daenerys having marriage on her mind after ditching Daario in Meereen, it makes sense for her to want to align herself with the King in the North to get the Iron Throne.
