Nigerian diva, Yemi Alade attended the 2016 BET Awards and was nominated for the “Best International Act: Africa” but lost out to Black coffee.
Yemi made a bold fashion statement on the red carpet wearing a piece from celebrated designer Zuhair Murad’s 2016 Resort Collection which reportedly cost a staggering sum of N2,500,000.
Pairing with her dress she wore minimal makeup and jewelry and allowed the expensive dress do all the talking. Yemi spotted nice bantu knots as she posed confidently in her photos.
Yemi Alade who released her praised jewelry collection last year in collaboration with Brand2Glam, will also be unveiling her fashion label “House of Tangerine (H.O.T)”, at the 2016 African Fashion Week Nigeria and London.
Also worthy of mention is the singer’s Johnny costume (her biggest hit single till date) is currently being displayed at the Grammy Museum’s exhibition, “Sounds of Africa”—in partnership with BET International. READ: Yemi Alade’s Johnny Music Video Costume Displayed at The Grammy Museum.
