England and Manchester United captain, Wayne Rooney wants to sign a contract extension. Enough to see him retire at Old Trafford.
The England international has three years left on his contract. And has previously stated he does not see himself playing for another club.
And the 30-year-old has now extended those thoughts by admitting he is prepared to end his playing days at United by putting pen to paper on a new deal.
“I have a contract at the club that I want to see out and wouldn’t be against extending it – but that’s up to the club,” Rooney told United We Stand fanzine, in quotes reported by The Sun.
Rooney has also revealed that he is ready to become a permanent fixture in midfield under Jose Mourinho next season.
