Ambitious Bundesliga new boys Red Bull Leipzig are the latest club to try to lure Reece Oxford away from West Ham, according to Sky Sports.

Leipzig are understood to have offered the central defender more than 20,000 pounds-a-week to move to the Red Bull Arena for their first ever season in the top flight of German football.

However, Sky Sport News HQ understands that the 17-year-old wants to stay in England, with Man United known to be keen on the player and Newcastle United interested in taking him on a season-long loan as they attempt to return to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Oxford, who has two years left on his present contract, made his first team debut at the age of 16, starring in West Ham’s opening-day 2-0 win at Arsenal last season.
