Tamar Braxton got cut from The Real talk show but the media personality must have gotten a blessing in disguise as she now has her very own talk show, thanks to Steve Harvey.
Tamar was a guest on The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Thursday, (June, 2) where she revealed being oblivious as to the reason she was fired although a source claimed she became unbearable.
She said to Harvey, “You know when you love your job? It’s no issues. You’re not complaining about much. You’re not fighting with anybody. Me and the girls got along, so I thought. And we’d been on hiatus for about three weeks. So for this to come out of the blue was just astonishing. Is it just a personality thing? Is it me?”
Regardless the reason why she was dismissed, Steve Harvey announced that his production company, Harvey Productions, will be giving Tamar her very own talk show. Harvey to the rescue!
Following her dismissal from The Real, Tamar broke down in tears during Thursday’s episode of Braxton Family Values.
She said to her sister Toni Braxton in tears, “I just feel like the rug has been pulled out from under me. Everything just feels like a loss for me. This whole year sucked ass. I spent a whole year on my album and I can’t promote my album and then the album comes out and it doesn’t do great ’cause I can’t promote my album.”
She continued upsettingly, “And then on top of that then I get a tour and then on top of getting a tour I have to cancel my tour. And then I’m doing Dancing With the Stars and then I have to stop doing Dancing With the Stars because I get sick. And then…this?! Really?!”
Producers of The Real released a press statement about Tamar’s exit stating:
The Real and Tamar Braxton have mutually decided that Tamar will not be continuing with the show for its upcoming third season. She will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career.
Everyone associated with The Real appreciates Tamar’s efforts and the contributions she has made to the show’s success, and we wish her all the best for the future.
The circumstances following her dismissal from the show has been questionable at best as Tamar later posted on Instagram, writing: “I have been stabbed in the back by someone I stupidly trusted (not my man or my sisters).”
The Real co-hosts include Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Adrienne Bailon. As regards ratings, the daytime show became the first syndicated talk show in years to earn a third-season renewal.
Tamar Braxton definitely has the last laugh. Sometimes, the best of things come from the worst of situations.
