Boxing legend Muhammad Ali is in critical condition in intensive care, fighting for his life.
Four of the children of the boxing legend including Laila, Hana and Maryum, are presently by his side in an Arizona hospital as doctors have expressed that they fear he “is near the end”.
There have been discussions about moving him to another area of the hospital but a source has stated that the doctors felt the move “potentially could be deadly,” hence the transfer was called off.
Other sources close to the 74-Year-Old reveal that Ali’s struggle with his respiratory problem was made complicated by the Parkinson’s that he was diagnosed with in the 1980s.
“Like in the ring, Ali is a fighter on the ward,” someone close to the family said. “Doctors are working to regulate his breathing put it is being hampered by his Parkinson’s.
“Ali is everything to them and there are worried his problems are worse than first feared.”
His health has deteriorated since he was admitted. People the world over have sent in their best wishes, including celebrities.
Ali has been in hospital several times in recent years, even as early as in 2015. He was treated for a severe urinary tract infection initially feared to be pneumonia.
This year he had to cancel trip to London to open an exhibition about his life due to his health issues.
His family, despite all of this, hope he gets better. We hope so too.
