As early as 7am, the entire city of Ibadan was agog as hundreds of fame hopefuls headed for Tafo Arena, venue of the #MTNProjectFame9 auditions to try their luck on what is arguably the biggest talent hunt show in West Africa.
For some, it was a whole new experience while for a few others they were maestros in the game. One thing, however, common to all was the excitement on their faces as they jumped, danced, sang and clapped in anticipation for their auditions.
One of the many hopefuls, 28 years old Henry Olubanji who has been auditioning since 2009 expressed strong determination that this year, his fame is finally here.
The judges made up of Project Fame Alumnus, Adetoun, Ronke Giwa of Splash FM and media personality, Don-T, also could not hide their excitement at the display of talent which they unanimously described as amazing.
At the end of the two-day exercise 17 aspiring music stars were selected for the live audition billed to hold in Lagos on the 1st and 2nd of July.
