According to a report published by Billboard, J. Cole took home a total of $8.8 million, with more than half of it ($5.5 million) coming from touring alone.

The report indicated that while he only released the Dreamville compilation, Revenge of the Dreamers II, in 2015, Cole made $1.5 million in sales, $1.1 million from publishing and $788,000 from streaming.

His successes in 2015 stemmed from the popularity of his 2014 album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive which went platinum and double platinum, according to Hip-Hop N More.

His fan base are so excited, especially since he went “platinum with no features” they’ve used it routinely and on different angles giving the meme a life of its own, just as everything Twitter or social media related happens.

Now, it has been woven into strings of conversations, jokes, banters and memes which have absolutely nothing to do with neither J Cole nor Hip Hop.
