Future has dropped his lawsuit against his baby mama, Ciara after a judge decided both stars would share joint custody of their son Future Zahir Wilburn.
The rapper didn’t want to ruin things by going after Ciara legally as he now has access to his son just as a source from his team confirmed that dropping the lawsuit was a way to avoid any attempt on Ciara’s part to push for sole custody.
Back in February, Ciara sued her baby daddy for $15 million after he called her a bad mom.
In her lawsuit, Ciara accused the 32-year-old rapper of libel and slander. She also accused him of disrespecting her as a mother and an artist thereby damaging her musical career.
The rapper countersued but has changed his mind as what he wanted from the beginning was to have joint custody.
He also requested the judge to dismiss Ciara’s suit against him, a plea which is unlikely to follow through as Ciara isn’t dropping her suit, not when she has the chance to cash his check of fifteen-million-dollars ($15Million, N2,985,675,000).
While battling for custody with Ciara, Future had once tweeted, “This b***h got control problems… I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future… the f***ery for 15k a month.”
In April 2013, Ciara had said about Future and their relationship, “He is really a gentleman and I don’t want to say too much, and then he’s like, ‘Babe, you’re saying a whole lot,’ but he really is just an amazing man,” the loved up singer continued, “It’s like when we were working on the personal side of things, I really saw an amazing person and the way that he approached me since day one is just the way a man is supposed to be from my perspective.”
It has been speculated Ciara and Future broke up after she caught him cheating few months after she gave birth to their son.
Future never addressed the allegations, rather, the rapper shared on Instagram, “I don’t respond to rumors, I respond to money.”
Well, he has a lot to respond to right now as she’s taking him to court for his millions.
