It’s The 6th Edition Of The Africa Fashion Week London

With over six years as the biggest African-inspired fashion event in Europe, one of the most anticipated fashion shows in Nigeria and the perfect platform for emerging designers, Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) and Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) Africa Fashion Week London is getting ready for it’s 6th Edition.

It all started in 2011 at the Gibson Hall, Bishopsgate in London. That 1st edition was a fantastic success.

The second edition was during the 2012 London Olympics. Our venue was the massive Spitalfields Market Hall, located at one of the renowned fashion spots in London. We had an unprecedented number of attendance of more than 20,000 visitors.

In 2013, we enlarged our coast and we moved to the Old Truman’s Brewery on Brick Lane in London, another notable fashion district. It was another great success and in that year we hosted the 1st of its kind Africa Arts and Fashion Banquet 2013, at one of the most prestigious venues in London – The Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London.

In 2014, we moved to what has now become the home of AFWL, that’s London Olympia, in Kensington. It was like finally, all we had been looking for and more. Since 2014 to 2015 and till September 8 to 10, 2016 West Hall, Olympia, London it is.



We announce our sixth open call for fashion designers to take part at the Africa Fashion Week London 2016. The AFWL platform seeks to discover and support top emerging African talent from all over the globe including fashion design students.

Calling all designers, fashionistas and followers of the phenomenon that is African style – Africa Fashion Week London is back – bigger, badder and more stylish than ever.

After 2 seasons at London Olympia, Africa Fashion Week London returns to the West Hall showcasing authentic style from African-inspired designers.

See exclusive catwalk appearances from up and coming and established designers and the best African models from the continent.
