Van Gaal To United Fans: You Expect Too Much

share on:

Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal is of the opinion that the fans have a very high expectation.

The red devils won their final match of the season, 3-1 against Bournemouth, but still missed out on UCL football.

And while addressing the fans at full-time, the Dutchman was booed by the fans, as he promised to deliver the FA cup.

But the Dutchman claims aiming for the title this season was not a realistic target.

“Of course, because I’ve said the expectation is very high – the fans are expecting a lot, but I think these expectations are much too high,” Van Gaal told Sky Sports.

“We are a team in transition, as I said when I started here at Manchester United, but maybe I need to bring over the message much clearer than I’ve done.”
