South Africa’s Queen B, Bonang Matheba was in Nigeria about a week ago and during her time in her adopted country, she collaborated with Nigerian designer, Toju Foyeh.
The collaborative effort of the two ladies – titled ‘Toju Foyeh x Bonang Matheba’ – was shot at the Lekki Conservation Centre by the talented Obi Somto. With makeup by makeup maestro, Funmi Olurinola of Abeke makeovers.
About the pieces created, Toju Foyeh said that all the pieces in the collection were inspired by Bonang. We already can’t get enough of her personal style, now we have an entire collection inspired by her.
Toju Foyeh is known for her use of very sparkly fabrics which comes into perfect play in the Bonang inspired collection. Bonang on the other hand is popular rocking Jumpsuits, Long & Midi dresses, which was incorporated in the collection.
One of the stand out pieces is a silver jumpsuit which has a beautiful train and off – the – shoulder top. Another look is a pink boat neck dress styled with Abekemakeover’s now extremely popular IconGele. The last piece is a gold evening dress with a sexy side slit – a dress only perfect for Queen Bonang.
