Talib Kweli Lists Young Rappers Headed For Greatness

American hip-hop star – Talib Kweli, took to his now functional twitter account –‎@TalibKweli– on Tuesday, 7th 2016, to list young emcees, who in his opinion, are just few steps away from been labelled as legends with consistency.

The conversation was initially triggered after one of his followers on Twitter –likely to be a hip-hop head– tweeted at him ’bout how this generation of emcees are not close to competing with the old rap generation :

The ‘Beautiful Struggle’ crooner replied him by defending the new rap generation with a list of seven emcees which some how excluded the very much talked about SNL host Drake.

He later followed up with another tweet which somehow, explains his thoughts

From the above list, Chance the Rapper who’s recent mixtape ‘Coloring Book’ might debut in top 10 on Billboards 200 mixtape with just streaming, seems to be worthy of the mention.

The three highlighted artists above are some which we personally think, are on their way to greatness. Kendrick and Cole need no highlighting from the seven man list Talib Kweli tweeted.
