Award winning Ghanaian/Nigerian actress, Yvonne Okoro leads the cast of this romantic comedy from Desamour Production Company – ‘Ghana Must Go’.
‘Ghana Must Go’ is produced by the dark skinned beauty Yvonne Okoro and directed by multiple award-winning filmmaker, Frank Rajah Arase. The hilarious comedy stars Yvonne Okoro and one of young nollywood’s heartthrobs, Blossom Chukwujekwu as young lovers who are of Nigerian and Ghanaian origin and are in need of the blessings of their parents – but their love is tested in a series of events with their parents citing historical happenings between the two countries as a reason for refusal.
In addition to Yvonne and Blossom, the movie also stars Kofi Adjorlolo, Nkem Owoh (popularly known as Osuofia), Ik Ogbonna, Helen Paul and Ada Ameh. On Tuesday, 16th of May 2016, media influencers and editors were invited to an exclusive screening of the much anticipated movie ‘Ghana Must Go’ at The FilmHouse Cinemas, Surulere.

Synopsis: Set in Accra, Ghana, the comedy revolves around two young lovers who are of Nigerian and Ghanaian origin. Yvonne Okoro plays the role of Ama, a London-based Ghanaian woman who brings her Nigerian boyfriend, Chuks (Blossom Chukwujekwu), home to meet her parents much to the displeasure of her wealthy father. Ama’s parents refuse to give their blessing to their union, citing historical happenings between the neighbouring nations as reason for their refusal. The series of events tests the love of the young couple in the most hilarious and unexpected fashion.
The official Nigerian premiere of this hilarious comedy ‘Ghana must Go’ is for 3rd of June 2016 and nationwide release is set for the 10th of June, 2016. We can’t wait.
