The club season is over, with every major league in Europe already concluded and the Euro 2016 looming. We present you with the winners the 2015-16 season gave us.
I’m sure everyone can agree the EPL was full of twists and turns, with the unexpected happening. Leicester City went against all odds and shook up the status quo, by claiming their first ever EPL trophy. The foxes ended the league with 81 points.
Spanish La Liga BBVA
The La Liga was as we expected, with the three powerhouses -Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid- vying for the Liga, it came down to the wire on final day, with Barcelona beating Real Madrid to the trophy by a single point, winning it by 91 points.
Italian Serie A
Juventus pulled off what can only be called the greatest comeback in history, winning the scudetto after a terrible start to the season, doing what Chelsea failed to do. The Italian giants won the league with 91 points.
France Ligue 1
The Ligue 1 has been dominated by Paris Saint Germain, and this season was no different. The capital club dominated from day 1 and didn’t take their foot off the gas, winning the league by 96 points. The second placed team, was behind by 31 points. Awesome.
One day, Dortmund will stop dropping points and take away Bayern’s dominance in the Bundesliga. The Bavarian club went on to claim their third straight title with 88 points.
Benfica claimed the Primeira Liga, with 88 points. And PSV pipped Ajax to the eredivisie title for the second year running, with 84 points.
