Rumors began circulating on Wednesday that the fuel station had reduced their pump price of petrol per liter to N115, but Forte Oil have denied the reports.

A statement by Forte Oil read: “Our attention has been drawn to a reduction in price to 115 NGN at our gas stations, This is false. Forte Oil Plc would use its official handles to inform its customers and the buying public of any price change. We therefore inform our customers and the buying public to ignore these false rumours as they are untrue and we disassociate ourselves from same.”

Majority of Nigerians were left shocked when the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu last week announced an increase in the pump price of fuel.

The minister had promised that the pump price would drop as supply got better, and many had hoped that the rumored fuel price reduction was a sign of better things to come.
