Gucci Mane was released from prison Thursday, (May, 26) and by Friday, the rapper released a new track titled “First Day Out Tha Feds” which raked over a million streams on its first day on Soundcloud.

Real name, Radric Davis, Mane felt he had wasted enough time while being incarcerated so he jumped straight into the studio and laid down some verses with Mike Will Made-It serving as producer.

There were rumors that Gucci Mane had an entire mixtape to release on Friday, but that’s false.

According to Forbes, “Davis as a primary artist, has four Gucci Mane singles under his belt that made the Billboard Hot 100, including 2009′s “Wasted” which spent thirteen weeks on the chart and peaked at #36.

Befitting his prolific output over the years, a dozen of his albums and commercial mix tapes have appeared on the Billboard 200, three of which made the album chart’s Top 20.”

Despite being incarcerated, the Atlanta rapper was releasing new songs both for sale and free via streaming platforms with additions to his Trap God and Trap House series and his team is taking the credit for keeping his fans hot enough to wait for him to get out.

Gucci Mane was freed after serving a 39-month sentence in a federal prison located in Terra Haute, Indiana, for weapons conviction.
