The Giwa FC team didn’t turn up at the Kwara Stadium, despite being the home side. The match was being played at the Kwara stadium because the League Management Company had banished them there after violence during their home match in Week 13 against the Rangers of Enugu.

Referee Henry Ogunyanmodi had called the match over and ruled a walk over, with Wikki coach Abdul Maikaba urging the LMC to hand his side three points and three goals.

If Giwa FC miss one more game, they’d be expelled from the league, per LMC regulations.  Article 13.27 of the Framework and rules of the NPFL for the 2015/16 season states:  “If a club fails to honour two consecutive matches without an acceptable reason to LMC such a club shall be expelled from the League and its matches played and unplayed match shall be cancelled.”
