Three persons have been reported killed after a fire incident engulfed a petrol filling station along Murtala Muhammad Way in Kano State, Nigeria.
Channels TV reports that the fire started when a petrol tanker was attempting to unload fuel at about 3:30PM.
“The fuelling station was already selling fuel when the tanker arrived with fuel, the next thing we saw was inferno which eventually killed the driver and one of his boys,” the report says.
Some vehicle owners who were on the queue also suffered as their vehicle went up in flames.
Some business centres adjacent to the fuelling station were also destroyed after the fire escalated from the premises of the fuelling station.
Although state fire services and other fire fighting agencies tried hard to put out the fire, they could not stop the damage already done.
