After being married for merely fifteen months, Amber Heard filed for a divorce from Johnny Depp on Monday, (May, 23) barely three days after the Pirates of the Caribbean actor lost his mother Betty Sue Palmer.
Presently, Amber has filed for and has been granted a temporary restraining order against her soon-to-be ex-husband, Friday.
The 30 year-old actress accused Depp, 52, of being physically abusive and a judge issued the actor a warning to stay a hundred yards away from Heard.
Heard also got the right to remain in their home but was rejected the amount of fifty-thousand dollars ($50,000) which she sought for spousal support, attorney fees and possession of their Range Rover.
According to BBC, Amber Heard claimed Johnny Depp had physically assaulted her on Saturday when he was “high and drunk”.
A representative for Johnny Depp issued a statement on the couples split:
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly. ”
Depp is presently promoting his new movie Alice Through The Looking Glass.
Amber and Depp dated for two years before getting married in February 2015.
They signed no prenuptial and had no children together.
