The final autopsy report, which got to the Office of the State Department of Criminal Investigation (SCIID) at Panti, on Wednesday night, showed that the victim died from an Acute Respiratory Seizure, bruises and clustered water in the head.

According to an impeccable source, “The final autopsy result has been released. In fact, it is just getting to the SDCI. The summary of the report is that she did not die from the bruises on her body. She died from respiratory seizure.”

The source said that there was no link between the bruises on the woman’s skin to her death, adding that it could not be clear if any of the three causes of deaths were as a result of violence or aggressive battery.

Also, confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, Dolapo Badmos, said that the police had got the report, adding that the details would be released today.

She said: “I can only confirm to you that the autopsy result is out. I cannot give you any other information because it is for the purpose of investigation. There is a directive from the IGP that no one should release any information on that issue.

“The result has not been opened and the family members are yet to be told. At the right time, the public will know.”

Asked if the police will charge the suspect to court, Badmos said “when we get to that bridge, we will let you know.”

It will be recalled that the husband of the deceased, Lekan, 51, was alleged to have beaten his wife to death at their home in the Egbeda-Idimu area of Lagos State, about two weeks ago.

He had accused Ronke of sleeping with one Kayode, the general manager of a publishing company. After three days in hiding, Lekan gave himself up to the police.
