Rapper/actor 50 Cent has apologized and even donated one-hundred-thousand dollars to an autism group after filming himself laughing and teasing an autistic janitor at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
The video posted on 50 Cent’s Instagram which he later removed showed a 19 year-old Andrew Farrell who worked in the airport as a janitor pushing his cart when the rapper approached him.
50 Cent first complained about people of Farrell’s age being “crazy” then he asked for his name which Farrell refused to answer.
50 Cent went on to claim Farrell was “high as a motherf—er” after which he referred to Farrell as “the walking dead” in the IG caption.
In reality, Farrell is autistic, has asperger syndrome, requires a hearing aid and has “extreme social difficulties.”
Deciding to settle the issue before it got into legal hassle, the Effen vodka boss made some donation.
He released a statement saying, “[I want] to turn this misunderstanding into an understanding. There are people [who] are ignored, mistreated, and neglected with disabilities that need our support.
Today, I have made a donation of $100,000 to this worthy cause through Autism Speaks.
I am calling on my fellow musicians, actors, entertainers and all others who may not have fully considered this cause to join together to help in any way they can.”
