8 TV Series You Can’t Afford To Miss This April

A couple of TV series are making their way back to television this April and it is pretty hard for any dedicated television fan to get the right pick of shows to watch.

With a lot of television channels bringing up their own originally scripted shows, it is quite impossible to keep up with the barrage of weekly series churned out even if you get to stick with your favourites.
To reduce the pain you may have to face in determining the right television show to watch, we decided to bring to you an updated list of Television shows premiering this April. This list includes great shows that will be debuting and those that will be returning to our screens this season. Our list does not include reality shows and movies but we have however included premiere dates for upcoming scripted TV series on streaming sites such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon. Brace yourself for unexpected onslaught of fun on your television this April.

Banshee (Cinemax)

This action television series will be back this April for its fourth and final season. The series follows the story of ex-con Lucas Hood played by Antony Starr who assumes the identity of a small town’s murdered sheriff, to hide from powerful crime lord, Rabbit. The fourth and final season is bound to bring to an end an enigmatic season that brought to television a whole new level of violence and betrayal.

The Ranch (Netflix)

This Netflix sitcom will be making its debut this month and it follows the life story of two brothers trying to run a Colorado ranch business. Actor- Ashton Kutcher is scheduled to play a lead role on this series.

The Odd Couple (CBS)

This television series follows the story of two friends Oscar Madison (Matthew Perry) and Felix Unger (Thomas Lennon) who are both recently divorced in a bid to move on from their divorces despite the seeming differences in their habits and ways of life.


Catastrophe (Amazon)

This television series follows the story of American boy Rob who gets Irish girl Sharon pregnant while they hook up for a week long business trip to London. The unexpected happens when Sharon gets pregnant and she and Rob are forced to get engaged.

Outlander (Starz)

Outlander is an American-British television drama series based on the historical time travel Outlander series of novels by Diana Gabaldon. It stars Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall, a married World War II nurse in 1945 who finds herself transported back to Scotland in 1743, where she encounters the dashing Highland warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and becomes embroiled in the Jacobite risings. Season 2 premiered on the 9th of April.


Orphan Black (BBC America)

This Canadian series focuses on Sarah Manning (Tatiana Maslany), a woman who assumes the identity of one of her fellow clones, Elizabeth Childs, after witnessing Childs’ suicide. The series raises issues about the moral and ethical implications of human cloning, and its effect on issues of personal identity. The fourth season will premiere on Friday, April 15.

12 Monkeys (Syfy)

12 Monkeys is a science fiction series that follows the story of Time traveler James Cole (Aaron Stanford). Who travels from the year 2043 to the present day to stop the release of a deadly virus by the enigmatic organization known as “The Army of the Twelve Monkeys”. The second season starts on Tuesday, April 19.


Game of Thrones (HBO)

Game of Thrones roughly follows the storylines set out in A Song of Ice and Fire, set in the fictional Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. The series chronicles the violent dynastic struggles among the realm’s noble families for control of the Iron Throne. One of the most expensive television series ever made, Game of Thrones will return for its sixth season in the last week of April.
