Trend Alert! Athleisure Trend is Taking Over

In 2015 Athleisure trend originated when people started wearing their active wear casually and for leisure. Wikipedia terms athleisure as “…a trend in fashion in which clothing designated for athletic workouts at a gymnasium, sometimes termed activewear, is worn outside of the gym to go to the office or shopping or other social occasions.”

Designers picked up on it and started making Athletic outfit for leisure and we have Athleisure trend.  Louis Vuitton, Tory Burch, J.Crew, Tommy Hilfiger, Baja East all showcased their athleisure collections at New York Fashion Week 2016.

And it’s major trend for 2016 we show you various ways to rock the trend and appropriate places for them.

You can Make Athleisure Work Friendly

You can make the trend work-friendly but you can’t go all out. You can only pick one piece of the trend and rock it well. If you are allowed to dress casually at work you can rock the trend with a denim or bomber jacket, but if it’s not that way for you opt for a black track pants and pair with a blazer and heels.

Going for Lunch dates

If you have a date you can go all out with the athleisure look and rock bright colors and spot really trendy sneakers.

Going shopping or running errands

You could be shopping around town either for groceries or clothes and throw on shorts and a hoodie, you’ll look casual and still be stylish.

Going for an evening party that will probably be a house thing or will just involve a few friends, the perfect outfit to rock is an Athleisure one and you can throw a denim over a sports bra and leggings or wear a hoodie and sweat pants.
