Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of Taraba state has directed the management of the state university to suspend all employments it carried out from May 29, 2015 to date.

This disclosure was signed and issued by the state Commissioner for Education, Bala Fwadu, in a letter with reference number MOE/S/34/169 dated March 22, 2016.

The letter, which was issued on Monday, addressed to the Registrar, Taraba State University, stated that the directive was with immediate effect.

The contents of the letter read in part, “His Excellency, the Executive Governor Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku, has directed that all employment of staff in the University from 29th May, 2015 to date have been suspended.’’

It was gathered that one of the institution’s renowned senior lecturers, Dr Ibrahim Jalo, had been affected by the directive as a letter by the institution on April 1, urged him to hand over all the university’s properties in his possession.
