At this season’s South Africa Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016, By DS collection was all about psychedelic screen prints on silk. The By DS collection paid homage to local women with models seen carrying woven baskets, wearing Zulu hats and other rafia woven accessories.
The By DS collection had variety of looks from long to midi dresses as well as short mini ones. By DS implored the use of cutouts, a lot of deep plunging necklines in pant suits, kaftans, matching separates, cape sleeves over mini dresses, organza mini dresses over body suits – all in all a feminine collection with clean lines and burst of colour.
The stand out piece would be the first dress shown, a white floor length a-line dress with a simple print of what looks like a queen. Pretty regal.
Have a look!
