Royce Da 5’9” on Earl Sweatshirt dissing Eminem – In a recent interview with Vlad TV, rapper Royce Da 5’9” spoke on how beefs in hip-hop had changed over the years.

“It was actually repercussions to your words back then,” Royce said. “You had to stand by what you said back then. If you said you were gonna punch someone in the face when you seen ’em, you had to punch ’em in the face when you seen ’em. Now it’s like taboo to be hands on [and] actually put your hands on somebody. As an OG, you’ve gotta learn how to ignore things. You have to. You gotta laugh shit off.”

Royce used upcoming act Earl Sweatshirt dissing his one-time collaborator Eminem as an example. “Like Earl Sweatshirt talking crazy about Eminem? You gotta laugh that off now. In ’99, his head? We woulda took his head. We woulda took his head a long time ago.”

In an interview last December, Sweatshirt had dissed Eminem and his fans in an interview, saying: “If you still follow Eminem, you drink way too much Mountain Dew and probably need to like, come home from the army.”
