Pep Guardiola wants to bring Real Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal to Manchester City this summer, according to Marca.
City have been linked with a host of star signings following the announcement Guardiola will replace Manuel Pellegrini in the summer, and it is believed that the Spaniard wants to focus on reinforcing City’s defensive and midfield options.
Marca report Guardiola has requested the signing of Carvajal, who has everything that the current Bayern coach is looking for in a right-back.
However, it is understood Carvajal wants to stay at the Bernabeu, although Guardiola will try everything that he can to persuade the defender to leave the Spanish capital.
Carvajal has been forced to share right-back duties at the Bernabeu since the arrival of Brazilian Danilo, who joined Real Madrid from Porto for €30m (£24.2m) last year.
