The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the payment of 2015 Batch A corps members’ allowance for the month of April in an online circular sent on Wednesday evening.

This is just as the scheme confirmed the departure of its Director General Brigadier-General Johnson Bamidele Olawumi from the service on its verified Facebook account.

The statement read: “My dear Corps Members of 2015 Batch A, I can confirm that your April 2016 allowance will hit your accounts latest tomorrow afternoon, Thursday 14 April 2016 as you are passing out.

“Note also that those of Stream 2, Batch A 2015 will also receive in addition, their outstanding one month allowance. Congratulations for a successful Service year.

“I wish you all the best in your future endeavors even as I also depart the Scheme for other military assignment. I love you all.”

The new Director General of the scheme is now Brigadier-General S.Z. Kazaure.

Kazaure was asked to replace Olawunmi as the new DG following the major shakeup that took place in the Nigerian Army on April 11, 2016.
