On the 10th of April 2016, La Maison Cointreau in Nigeria invited people from different fields mostly women, to the launch of its philanthropic programme – Cointreau Creative Crew Nigeria (#CCCNG2016).
Cointreau, an orange liqueur perfect for mixing cocktails brought together a mix of these women to promote and encourage women & men to DREAM. DARE. CREATE.
The Cointreau Creative Crew committee spearheaded by Betty Irabor, Founder & Publisher of Genevieve Magazine including Lami Tumaka, Barbara Lawrence, Ituen Bassey, Denrele Sonariwo, Neku Atawodi, Afua Osei, Eku Edewor and Yagazie Emezi would be tasked with awarding a grant of 20,000(Euros) to the person/entrepreneur with the most creative project. A call for entries would be announced in a few weeks. You would need to look out for more information on 360NoBS.com.
The ballroom of Oriental Hotel where the event took place was filled with the smell of sweet oranges and roses. Guests were tasked with dressing ‘Parisienne’ – which brought about a lot of fringes & tassels. Berets were of course given a nod thanks to drama-soul artist, Temi Dollface and super stylist, Ezinne Chinkata. Doe eyed Temi Dollface, the performing artist for the evening, thrilled with her distinct sound and of course, drama. She got guests singing along to her songs like ‘Pata Pata’ and recently released ‘School Your Face’. Also not to be missed out was the amazing female DJ who played a collection of foreign and local hits.
An abundance of signature Cointreau Fizz cocktails (mixed with different juices – cranberry, apple, raspberry and even tea bags) accompanied with yummy chocolate confections from Sokolad and Oriental Hotel’s delicious canapes.
The Cointreau Creative Crew launch was a fun filled event, and just as encouraged by her motto: Live the Moment.
