Despite Lil Kesh repeatedly stating in interviews that he is never leaving YBNL, the record label he started out with, rumour now has it that the YBNL soldier will be exiting the label.
His contract expired a few days back and he has made no move to renew it, which gave fuel to the speculation. The rumours also said that Lil Kesh will be leaving to float his new label, YAGI, named after his debut album.
Lil Kesh and his boss, Olamide finally addressed the rumours on Instagram and their revelation reveals that the rumours are not completely false.
Lil Kesh put out an image with a statement on Instagram which confirmed that yes his contract has expired and he will be floating a label but he will still maintain a professional relationship with YBNL, saying “If Baddo did not believe in me my talent will still be wasting in the streets,it’s only proper that i start believing in other people, it’s YBNL’s legacy. So if you think YAGI think YBNL think FAMILY️“.
For now YBNL will serve as the management for YAGI. His fellow labelmate, Adekunle Gold, has announced that he will be designing the logo for the new label.
Working on the #YAGI logo! I'm going to have fun with this one.

Olamide lent his support via an Instagram post as well, saying that all his signees are loyal and he gives them the freedom to be independent.
Meanwhile, do you think Lil Kesh is capable of handling his own artists at this stage in his career?
