Game Of Thrones Spoilers: 8 People Marked For Death In Season 6

share on:

The sixth season of HBO’s Game of Thrones is bound to throw up a never-before-seen dark side of the fantasy thriller.

Up until now, a lot of the favourite characters of the show, from Ned Stark, his wife Catelyn, son- Rob and supposedly Bastard son, Jon Snow all met a bad fate. Unlike previous seasons, the sixth season will focus more on stories yet to be published from the original George R.R. Martin’s source material. A whole lot could crumble in season six and people who have read the books can only have a small inkling.

Season 5 of the show ended with the death of Stannis Baratheon and Jon Snow which brings to mind which of our favourite characters will be the next to join the list of fallen heroes and villains in the great Game of Thrones graveyard.

Here are 8 People that may likely meet their end in season 6.

Tommen Baratheon (Dean-Charles Chapman)

Given the prophecy of Maggy the Frog that predicted the deaths of all three of Cersei Lannister’s children with her brother in season 2, it may well be the end of the road for King Tommen. Being a weak king and the fact that his other two siblings are dead already, his time on the Iron Throne is potentially doomed.

Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie)

The wandering knight is likely to meet her demise in season 6 given that the raised ghost of Catelyn Stark put an end to her life in the books. This is even made more evident given the fact that the actress recently got cast for a role in season two of the television series “Top of the Lake”.

Melisandre (Carice van Houten)
At the end of season 5, the red priestess was seen stranded at The Wall with no one to lead on after the death of Stannis Baratheon. She may however be pivotal in bringing Jon Snow (Kit Harington) back to life which may mean her sacrificing her life in his place. Even at that, her safety is not guaranteed given the active role she played in the killing of Stannis’s Daughter Shireen Baratheon (Kerry Ingram) which may stimulate Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) to seek for revenge.

Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen)

Jorah Mormont’s avowed loyalty to Daenerys Targaryen is one of the reasons we love him but it’s perhaps the same reason he will likely meet his demise in season 6. After being touched by the stone men in season 5 and contacting a disease called ‘Greyscale’ which has been said to drive good men sick and insane, the end of the road might just be here for the warrior.

Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon)

Perhaps one of the most villainous characters on the show, the death of Ramsay is one that should gladden a lot of viewers and he will most likely run out of luck in season 6. Considering the escape of Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen) and Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Ramsay will stop at nothing to get them back and that may well be the end of him.

Lancel Lannister (Eugene Simon)

The cousin of Cersei who is a loyalist of the Faith Militant is one person the Queen Mother will go all out to put an end to. Lancel’s loyalty could be his undoing and he may very well be the first victim of Ser Robert Strong, the newest addition to the Kingsguard, and the monster who was previously known as the Mountain from season 4.

High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce)

The High Sparrow who has a holier-than-thou personae will most likely not survive the onslaught of Cersei and the new addition to the Kingsguard given the humiliation she gave the Queen Mother at the end of season 5 and her search for revenge.

Alliser Thorne (Owen Teale)

Alliser Thorne led the mutiny against The Lord Commander Jon Snow and his day of reckoning is bound to come sooner or later. As the man who led the mutiny, he might be the one to take the fall for all the mutineers.
