FA Charges Dele Alli With Violent Conduct – The Football Association has charged Dele Alli with alleged violent conduct and he now faces a 3-match ban.
The incident in question occurred during Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with West Ham on Monday, where the PFA Young Player of the Year had seemed to throw a punch at the Hammer’s Claudio Yacob.
A statement by the FA reads: “Dele Alli has been charged for an alleged act of violent conduct which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.
“The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was involved in an incident with West Bromwich Albion’s Claudio Yacob in the 26th minute of the game last night (Monday 25 April 2016). He has until 6pm on Wednesday 27 April to reply.”
If he is suspended, it will be yet another blow for the Spurs, who saw their title dreams begin to fade away after Monday’s draw.
