Fulani Herdsmen have made good their threat to invade a community in Enugu, despite calls by the leader of Ukpabi Nimbo community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area, Enugu State, to pacify the situation.
It was gathered in the early hours of today (Monday), that scores of persons have been killed in the invasion of Ukpabi Nimbo community, which was done by the marauders.
Vanguard reports that residents have fled to neighbouring communities of Nkpologu and Uvuru, even as Nkpologu natives fled to Nsukka in fear of attacks.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer,Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident, stating a combined team of police and Army have moved to the area.
