Argentina Is World Number One, As They Unsit Belgium

Argentina have overtaken Belgium at the top of the ranking and returned to the summit.

Back-to-back victories over Chile and Bolivia helped Argentina, with Belgium who were top for five months, dropping to second place after their friendly against Spain was cancelled, before losing to Portugal.

Despite their defeat to Argentina, Chile move up two spots to third place having defeated Venezuela in their other game, while another Conmebol side, Colombia, surge from eighth to fourth after wins over Bolivia and Ecuador.

Germany drop to fifth, following their loss to England and victory over Italy. With Spain dropping to sixth after consecutive draws against Italy and Romania.

Brazil and Portugal move down to seventh and eighth respectively, while Uruguay are up two positions to ninth and England drop down one place to round off the top 10.
