Leicester City’s dream run in the Premier League has been recognized, with the trio of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante all being nominated for the Player of the Year. The shortlist is completed by Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, West Ham’s Dimitri Payet and Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

Kane will also have the chance to defend his Young Player of the Year award, having been nominated once again for the award. Kane was nominated alongside teammate Dele Alli, Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho, Stoke’s Jack Butland, and Everton duo Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku.

The nominees for the Young Player of the Year award were met with criticism, with many believing Manchester United’s Anthony Martial and Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin deserved nominations.
