NBC bans Olamide’s Don’t Stop – The National Broadcasting Commission has banned Olamide’s hit song, Don’t Stop.

In a letter from the director of the Commission’s Lagos Zone, ‘Bunmi Cole, to broadcasting houses, the NBC claimed it had observed lyrics from the song, which led to the ban.

According to the NBC, the song “contravenes section 3.6.1 of the Nigerian Broadcasting Code which states: “Obscene, indecent, vulgar language, lewd and profane expression, presentation or representation is not allowed.”

The letter quoted lines from the song including “Wa gba ponron” and “it took your mama nine months to make it”, and asked that the song be placed on the Not To Be Broadcast list.

  1. Haters everywhere, Olamide is still KING… How many months before will it take for your mama to make it???? Ifots!

  2. Juliet Gbemudu i agree with you, haters are everywhere. I see no reason for the banning of that song. #dontstop is a nice one. They are claiming “wa gba poron” is not a good word. Fuck them.

  3. thats rubbish…… wa gba ponro is a good reason why they should bann that jam…. and i strongly believe that their children are even dancing to it…..
