Salvatore Sirigu, PSG goalkeeper has described his side as a s*** team after recording a 3-1 win over Saint Etienne in the Coupe de France.
PSG were pressured by their counterparts, but goals from Cavani, Marquinhos and Moura helped keep their treble hopes alive.
PSG suffered their first domestic loss against Lyon, losing 2-1, and when asked what effect it will have, he replied sarcastically.
“We’re rubbish. We should ask ourselves questions, because until now we’ve really shown ourselves to be a s*** team,” he retorted.
“We are going to finish the league season with 37 unbeaten instead of 38. It’s going to be difficult, because we’re playing the end of the season with nothing to win.
“I think we will win at least the league championship – unless we lose all out matches and Monaco win all of theirs.”
After this response, he did answer the question in a more conventional manner.
“Sometimes when you lose a match, it does you good,” he said. “It makes you reflect and gives you a desire to bounce back.”
